Ewing Manor Wedding
Saturday May 17, 2014 started out rainy & overcast, which was nerve-wracking since the ceremony for this wedding took place on the back lawn of Ewing Manor completely uncovered. A few hours before the ceremony began the skies cleared & it was blue skies with no sign of rain for the rest of the day. At around 60 degrees it was the perfect day for a wedding.
The ceremony began promptly at 2:00 PM on the back lawn on Ewing Manor facing the expansive house. After the ceremony the bride & groom took photos on the lawn while guest left the venue until they needed to returen for the 5:00 PM cocktail hour. During the between time of the ceremony & cocktail hour the bridal took off on a party bus provided by Midstate Limo to take pictures around town.
For the reception we set up our 40x60 clear span tent on the front lawn for the reception. The couple opted to have a "harvest table" in place of a head table, so we placed two 8' rectangular tables together in the center of the tent with our full-length white polyester tablecloths. Around that we randomly place our 5' round tables with our full-length white polyestor tablecloths. The bride & groom chose our mahogany chiavari chairs for their ceremony, which we then moved into the reception tent.
To glam up the tent even more we hung our crystal bead curtains along the sides of the tent and hung two of our crystal chandeliers from the ceiling. Purple up-lighting around the perimeter of the tent finished off this stunning wedding!
The reception began at 6:00 PM with dinner catered by ISU Campus Dining Services followed by a beautiful wedding cake from Madhouse Cakes. The guest then danced the night away with our fabulous up-lighting creating a romatic & fun atmosphere!
